How does the pool filter ball filter material achieve disordered filtration and orderly backwashing?

Cleaning principle of the pool filter ball

When cleaning is required due to pool filter ball contamination, backwash water passes through the fiber filter bed in the opposite direction. Under the action of backwash water and clean air, the pool filter ball density adjustment device drives the fiber filter bed to move upward, and uses the mixed cleaning technology of soft water to extend the pool filter ball filter material upward to a loose state. In the process of bubble accumulation and cleaning, the pool filter ball is vertically shaken, so that the pool filter ball is cleaned to achieve the ideal cleaning effect.

Cleaning method of pool filter ball

Backwash

This is one of the most common methods for cleaning pool filter balls. In the process of backwashing, the water flow of the pool is reversed through the filter material bed, which is used to remove the dirt and suspended matter accumulated on the filter material of the pool filter ball. When backwashing, open the bottom drainage valve of the filter tank, wash away the impurities, and rinse the inside of the filter tank with high pressure water. After backwashing is complete, close the drain valve and resume normal operation.

Pickling cleaning

If stubborn dirt on the filter ball cannot be removed by backwashing, consider using pickling cleaning methods. First, close the inlet valve and drainage valve of the filter tank. The diluted acid cleaning solution is then poured into the filter tank and allowed to soak the filter for a period of time. Then, open the drain valve, discharge the cleaning liquid, and then backwash the filter tank with clean water until the discharged water is clear. Finally, close the drainage valve and restart the normal operation of the filter tank.

Manual cleaning

In some special cases, the dirt of the filter ball is more serious and cannot be cleaned by backwashing or pickling, and manual cleaning is required. First, close the inlet valve and drainage valve of the filter tank. Then, remove the pool filter ball from the filter tank and rinse it with clean water. When cleaning the filter material, you can use a brush or a spray gun to clean the dirt and impurities on the surface of the filter material. After cleaning, put the filter ball back into the filter tank, and restart the normal operation of the filter tank.

Two backwashing methods for pool filter balls

After the pool filter ball filter has been in operation for a period of time, it should undergo backwashing to ensure the quality of the filtered water. There are usually two backwashing methods – single-water backwashing and gas-water backwashing. In order to determine the reasonable backwashing method of the pool filter ball, when the backwashing intensity is 10L/m and the backwashing time is 20min, first of all, the single water backwashing is carried out. Then keep the backwash intensity and time unchanged, gradually increase the backwash intensity from zero to 30L/m, and carry out a combined gas-water backwash.

In addition, the pool filter ball filter material gap rate is large, the compression density is large, simple backwash water is difficult to remove the dirt in the pool filter ball. The gas-water combined backwashing method must promote the friction between the pool filter balls through a certain intensity of strong stirring and oscillation to achieve a good backwashing effect.
